Wonder at the mystery, beauty and exuberence of living things inspires all my recent work. Years of study, outdoors and in the classrooom, have deepend my appreciation of the natural world and intensified my concern about its disappearance.

The certainty of loss and rebirth, the passage of time, tides, and seasons, and the lives of other species on this earth, which parallel our own; these are things I think about and try to share.

Recently I've been attracted to images of abundance; coastal seafloors, jungles, schools of fish, flocks of birds, creatures alive and plentiful in their habitats.
